Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)is a martial art, combat sport, and a self-defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. The art was derived from the Japanese martial arts of judo and Jujitsu. The most important element of BJJ that separates it from its Japanese counterparts is its effective use of positional dominance over the opponent.
BJJ is effective at any size against any opponent, allowing anyone to become proficient at it. Unlike other forms of martial arts, size and weight do not factor into ones ability to succeed.

Established in 2003, Dynamic Martial Athletics is North Central Massachusetts’ original MMA training facility.
Our certified coaching staff has decades of experience in various disciplines including KickBoxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, boxing, wrestling and athletic performance/fitness training.
The founder, Michael Pearce has been training for over 4 decades now, and his goal with DMA was to create a place for others who also have a passion for self improvement through martial arts, and allow them to evolve in a no pressure, no judgement, friendly and fun community.
